Dear students of mine:
I attach this picture which symbolizes this thread's topic. We read about some chilean cultures and religious festivities, as well as where they take place (north, center or south of Chile). In your opinion, what do you think about these festivities? is there a chilean celebration that you like? why? why not? Do you think that we prefer foreign celebrations rather than ours.

Not, I do not have one that I like, because to my only I like one and this it is the navidad since there exchange gifts and this one the whole assembled family. I think that if we prefer the foreign festivities instead of the Chilean ones, but maybe some persons can please him the Chilean festivities.

However, I don´t like any celebration, because I don´t like to celebrate, but there is a celebration that I like it's Christmas, because I exchange gifts.I believe that if we prefer foreign celebrations, because these celebrations were part of our culture, but it has not originated here, but people still consider it important.

well teacher, i think that the celebrations are fun and atractive, but I don´t believe in that kind of things because I don´t belive in saints like Nazareno de Caguach or the Virgin of Lo Vasquez. However I like the Easter Week or Christmas day so I prefer the foreign celebrations, but at the same time I realy like the independence day and of course that i love the holidays that we have because of them.

I think that this topic is very entertaining since the Chilean customs are very exotic, if, the celebration that I like is a December 18 for which we eat a lot of meat and raise comets, in some sense if for that they are mas entertaining and they have strange prominent figures, in addition they eat sweets, one goes to bed very late and they are mas interactive, also we share with the family and friends.

ReplyDeleteI think there are some good holidays. Because there are some holidays that do not attract me, or topic just do not like, but there are some good, depends on personal taste. I think that Chileans prefer our country, because it is something that defines us. But we celebrate and give equal importance to festivities worldwide.
ReplyDeleteHello teacher Juan, I think that the fiestas are made to be with family and be happy to be a special day, I like the September 18 , because we eat meat, breaded, anticuchos.Nos family together and celebrate free days with fun. l do not think we prefer the extrangeras parties, because our country great mallorie celebrate Chilean parties and not those that are not from this country
ReplyDeleteWell, in my opinion Chile festivities are interesting because they contain a significant story, sometimes are mythological or occurred in reality.
ReplyDeleteOne of the Chilean Celebrations that I like is that of September 18 , because at that feast we eat delicious things , such as meat.
I think people prefer partly celebrations of other countries, because they are more exciting , such as Christmas, Halloween and Valentine . Anyway people celebrate the festivities of your country.

ReplyDeleteI think all are not fun, but I like them. I like the September 18 because I like games of ramadas and meals made in that time. I think if more because the celebrations are done in Chile are mostly foreign and USA. Well that's what I think about the Chilean celebrations.

ReplyDeletein my opinion, chilean festivities are awesome because it's almost one entire week of holiday and the traditional food is just amazing. i think that chilean people prefer our celebrations rather than foreing ones. of course, i believe that foreign festivities are just as wonderful as ours, for example: christmas,
because, ¿who doesn't love christmas? its the best celebration ever! you receive gifts and eat a lot of yummy stuff. anyway thats my opinion about festivities. stay awesome and bye.

I think that these typical festivities are boring and repetitive, because all celebrations are the same, besides I do not believe in this kind of festivities for my religion. However, I think that are interesting and produce a little curious.
ReplyDeleteThe only Chilean celebration that I like is the independence day , because is fantastic , has traditional games, specially the traditional chilean food, music very contagious. Sharing the holidays in family.
I think we prefer foreign celebrations because they are more original and very nice!!!

My favorite holiday is the tyrant because it is what I have been more times and I have so much fun
If I like a foreign celebracion would choose the day of action of grace because chicken is eaten and I really like the chicken and would choose festival "HALLOWEEN" because it is the only day of the year where I can scare and stay until the wee hours watching movies horror on youtube.

ReplyDeleteI think that celebration from Chile are great but i prefer foreign celebrations because there much creative like Halloween and Christmas. My favorite celebration is Halloween because i like to go out with my friends in costumes and trick or treat,one time while i was trick or treating i scared a little girl and then she cried later i felt really bad... good times.

ReplyDeleteI think that celebration that I like is the independence day since they do typical food and typical dances and persons are represented using suits of clothing in our country. In my opinion we prefer foreign celebrations since most of the celebrations of our country are from abroad such as Christmas, Halloween, etc.
