Yeahhhhh, big deal. reading on Monday might, I was wondering what's the definition of "nerd". At first, I thought being a nerd was a sort of friki who plays videogames all day long. Nevertheless, it is kind of different. It's related to someone who is "intelligent, good student and soon" and the only fault of this stereotype of person is just not having any social communication whatsoever.
Based on this definition, are you a nerd? is it a bad term? are you agree with this lifestyle?

I think I’m not a nerd, because I hardly ever play videogames and I always have social communication, with my friends. I’m not very intelligent but I try study, and usually I’m a good student ._.
ReplyDeleteIt’s not a bad term, be a nerd is not bad, once you know them, they are nice friends. They are different, and try to show how they are really; perhaps they usually don’t have social communication, but this is because no one accepts them.
In my understanding, I'm not a nerd, because I always spoken to other people I'm very sociable. I think I'm not good student, because I hardly ever I get good grades in the school but I always I make my best effort :).

Well the truth is that I do not think be nerd I am nerd completely because despite I am intelligent I have not problems of communication with other people.
ReplyDeleteI do not believe being a nerd is a bad because is not bad being smart, But what is wrong is that you may not have communication with the rest of the people and I believe that this happens because the people who are more intelligent are disturbed and that is what makes them do not communicate with others, well, that is my opinion.

I'm not a nerd, I have social communication, but I like so much the nerd, because are very intelligent and I think are good peoples. I think that discriminate much a nerd , maybe because they are better at some things than others, but do not think it a bad term to be nerd. c:

From my point of view I’m not nerd, although play around videogames as DOTA, but really I have social life, besides I’m studious but I also fall. I do athletics, I’m in the marching band where we exactly a parade on May 12 by The Navy Day.

I think I'm not a Nerd, because I have social comunication. Generally, the nerds are bothered because they are so much intelligents, that is the reason because they dont have some comunication, and always are study,do something alone, play videogames all the day, or always have the best qualification in the class. Sometimes, a nerd is the person who read so much hours, i do this, but I do some things in my day.
ReplyDeleteI no he see suck as a ´´Nerd``, because my life don`t tour in lathe to a laptop or computer, already is games, movies, etc. The high part of time free who to be the exit of the school is play soccer with a friend or ride a bike or simply talk, etc. when use the computer or watch TV don`t like be alone so I go out with my friends.

ReplyDeleteMmm, good question, but I think the word nerd is someone than is more intelligent and more concerned of studies, but I agree with this lifestyle, although is very interesting, I prefer other lifestyles. For some the term NERD is as something stupid, because they think that people are very ugly and intelligent. Although I think isn't since they think. Now I am a nerd?... No,no,no i am a not a nerd, I am a intelligent, but I prefer play in my PS3 or practise with my keyboard or go out with my friends or parents, for this I am a not a nerd.

Well I do not think being a nerd by the fact that I am very social with people around me play with my friends and I do not think it divertida.Pero for me to go wrong or I do well is a nerd I think they are so because they are more timid and are not sociable I think is not bad if I had friends nerd and are the best that one can have are those who most appreciate you :)

I think for me the term "nerd" is not wrong if I do not think it's a nerd because I'm usually not good to study and read books and am friendly with my friends and with people who share and do not like being locked in home with my computer! be nerd is not bad!

I personally took a very active social life, I have many friends and go out very often I think in part it is a term that refers to a person with no social life does not mean being too nerdy or have good grades or playing video games is not it teacher? but personally I think it is a term poorly expressed, not according to the definition I'm not agree with this definition the term nerd good ending to veses is misinterpreted.

Based on the definition, i think i´m not a nerd, cause i´m not a good student and son. Also i have a great social life cause i talk with all the class and obviously with my friends. This term is not bad cause this can be good for you future, for example: having good ratings, you can entry to the university with much benefits. i agree with this lifestyle cause, everyone can be whatever he wants and not to be criticized.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a nerd, since I have good social communication, I have good grades but I make the effort to achieve and what the nerd is so highly intelligent people who can spend hours and hours reading a book or studying, I do not like they treat these people just because they are more scholars. I think is not bad be a nerd should only have social communication.

I`m not think nerd because for me the nerd are npeople who maybe have always had excellent notes or the firts position all and what more the characterized is that they have not friends or almost nothing and talking to few people, spending most of the time alone.

oh well, acording with the post, maybe i am, but just 'cause i'm so shy and it's so hard for me meeting new people, it scares me or something (but just for a while, then i get comfortable) and 'cause i like to play videogames a lot haha, but with the being smart thing... i'm very silly and lazy to study, i don't really like to do that, i prefer sleep or do some funny thing. And if i was a nerd... i wouldn't care, i don't find being a nerd is bad or wrong, i found out the most of people like that is nice and help you with some homeworks and stuff. BUUUUT nerd it's kind of a new "style" that most of teenagers follow, like those big glasses that the girl has in the pic that you post! it doesn't mean she's a real nerd, 'cause now, the people create some new styles, just like this one, so for me, nerd it's a word that can define a person, and a style that most of the teenagers are following! xx

A nerd from my point of view, it is almost always a young person that is slow in some senses or loser as you want to say. I think that this evil say nerd only because there are people who are a bit stupid in some respects because in the end we are all people and we must respect. But if I agree that there are people other than us but in a sense i like nerd i dubbed itself, in that i am a little slow in some sports such as volleyball.

From my point of view we must respect all walks of life but I disagree because the nerd cooperation could socialize more and not enclosed or isolated in their world.
I think the term nerd que is misinterpreted, because now the nerd called up are good students.
In closing I would like my only say that we must organize to have a good social and communication while being a good student.
