In 1969 a young Australian, John Rendall and his friend Ace Bourke, bought a small lion cub from Harrods pet department, which was then legal. 'Christian' was kept in the basement of a furniture shop on the Kings Road in Chelsea, the heart of the swinging sixties. Loved by all, the affectionate cub ate in a local restaurant, played in a nearby graveyard, but was growing fast...
A chance encounter with Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna led to a new life for Christian. He came to live in a huge enclosure and to sleep in a caravan at their Surrey home. Then in 1971 he was flown to Kenya, his ancestral home, and returned to the wild by lion-man George Adamson. Nine months later in 1972, John and Ace returned to Kora in Kenya. This clip is of their reunion at that time.

This could be real. I do think that love exist between animals and humans.Rights for animals just like ours, this won't be possible because humans are self-centered creatures that only care about themselves.

Regarding the last question I think we should consider the rights of animals as our own, so that we can take the pets and all animals more seriously and not as something else in the world.

ReplyDeleteI think the second question is tricky. because people get into your head that the animals only are looking for you for food, but actually I dont know, as I said is a tricky question.
I think it depends on many things and of a lot of factor and the way that you see this question. But as people say, animals are animals.

For me this video and the story is real. I think I want my pet if it shows signs of affection towards me, so if I think my dog loves me. And answering the question number three I find that if we consider the rights of animals as our own because an animal is a living being like us, regardless of that we are sentient beings and they do not, but the animal or pet deserves to be treated with care.

I think this could be true, as there are people who loves animals as a friend, but I do not think animals should have the same rights as people, as we are quite different, but there must be a respect to these, such as its habitat and life. and if possible raise the animals right with us, as the dog or cat.
