Bully Beatdown [3º Año Medio A]

Bully Beatdown is an American reality television series created by Mark Burnett which airs on MTV. In each episode, show host Jayson "Mayhem" Miller challenges bullies to fight against a professional mixed martial artist for a chance to win $10,000. The money they get depends on their performance against their opponent, with any money they don't win going to the bully's victim. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jv30bcu9G4Q

According your ideas, is it correct what they do? is this the correct form of changing attitudes? Would you participate in this kind of TV Shows?

Regards and remember to post in at least 30 words.

  1. hell yeah is good :D they pay you and protect you from the bullies, what can be better? maybe is not the best way to "change" some attitudes and the way to do that is not totally correct but is hilarious see a big and tough guy kicking your personal bully's ass, and the people involved agree to participate so its okey. this show is awesome, i dont know if is 100% true but whatever, is a good entertainment show. i dont know if i would participate in a show like this but i think i would considerer.. i mean, dude, is a lot of money xDD

  2. In this world we can see "bullies", bad people doing physical or physiologic damage. In this TV show, "a professional man" can kick and punch to our friends, the bullies. If I’m the bully, am not obligated to accept this fight, but, it’s so much money. Finally we can see a victim relatively happy, seeing and enjoying the beating.
I don’t know if it is correct or if this will change attitudes… but … is funny.
I would like participate in this show…I mean … 10000 dollars? It’s good for me

  3. According to my ideas what they are doing is not correct, because it can go very sore from a fight, depending on who you are facing, whether it is with someone professional, as shown in the video, and another can be very dangerous if taking proper precautions. I would not like to participate in a program like this, I would not dare.

  5. For victims is correct, but not the aggressors, since this reality can be seen that the "bullies" accept a fight with a professional only for 10,000 dollar, and thinking he can hurt everyone. However, the "bullies", who are the aggressors, in this reality is become victims, since they take a beating that never intended to receive.
What I think, is that problems should be solved not by blows, but this reality can change in attitude to "bullies. "
I would not know whether to participate, since to participate as much money at stake, but funny that the victim would receive what they deserve. :D

  6. i don't like the idea. I mean, it's stupid try to fight agains violence with more violence, what are they trying to teach the new generations?, our world is going from bad to worst, and this kind of t.v shows don't help us. I wouldn't participate in this t.v shows, because i don't even aprove it. This is not even effective to change the attitudes of people, what I say, if someone doesn't want to change, you can try and try, but it wont change.

  7. This TV show does have its funny tone due to fights and exaggerated action entertainer "Mayhem", however the problems between the person who upset and concerned not so easily solved, as they say "everything is arranged with dialogue ", but I think they are already large and mature people do not understand any other way, so this serves as a wake up call. Also best of all, offer money and then accept the challenge bullies without knowing what to expect, but in the end always come pediendo since they have allowed no hits or movements during the struggle.

I would participate in this program if I offered too much money, although I am very confident.

  9. This program I have not seen much, but I've seen what I have found very good (with respect to the fun) but on the issue of Bullying is not the best solution for this issue every day it becomes more common in today's society.
It is one of the most desirable, but this is a good way to change the attitude of the people who make Bullying, because they feel the pain others go to suffer the bullying that they do.
I would like to participate in this program, but as public or the person who suffers bullying and making money XD.

  11. This is a very fun program ! I laugh a lot with this program . I'm not sure what they do is right , but honestly it is right that the bullies learn to not be hurting people for fun and thanks to this program they receive all the bad things they did with a good fight with someone his own size.
I like this program but I would like to be in place of the bullies and fight for cash , I think that is better to be watching this program and not a participant, because there are consequences.

  12. Well, obviously this is not the most appropriate or the most civilized way to fix the problems with the people who bother us, but… who cares? This TV show is really funny, and besides make the audience laugh, gives a lesson to aggressive and abusive people.
Which doesn’t mean that their attitudes will improve and this people will become peaceful and respectful, but at least they are being punished for their abuses…
Personally, I would never participate in this TV show, despite the tantalizing amount of money... because my fear of beatings and the pain is stronger.

  13. I do not think that is the best way to solve the bullying, but apparently it's worth. Also, those who participate in this program do so voluntarily, that is, is something you do consciously. This will hardly speak what they feel their victims. Not a bad idea to participate in that program to earn money, but first take classes from some form of martial art.

  15. I actually thought these kind of TV programs foster much agresive in people, but also entertiment the viewers, that is fun for some to see two people fighting shock and exposure to death just for money , for my party would not participate in on kind of program my mind not to go for shock or abuse other people on less for money.

  16. Bully Beatdown is an awful show. I think that problems can not be solve by that way; maybe talking with the bully people they will see their mistakes and then, they will stop. Although Mayhem is trying to be nice with helpless people and try to fix their problems with a fight, isn’t the correct answer to their problems, because bully people maybe will not learn the lesson and will continue annoying helpless people.

  17. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON MTV !!

maybe this isn't the best way to change the attitude of a person, but, at least, in the show it seems work... sometimes XD

if someday I could participate in this show, I would like be the victim :B cuz I would do nothing... just sit and see how a kickass-figther beats a bully and I could earn 10000 g’s :D

so, I think that “bully beatdown” is a very entertaining show. I like it.

  18. The truth is that fights don't solve the problems, there are other ways to solve this problems like talking and then come to an agreement. But if I'm the victim I would like to get some money watching how many damage receive the bully who was annoying me, but If I'm the bully I wouldn't accept the challege. I would like to participate only if I'm the victim.

  19. Bully Beatdown is a very funny show. I believe that Mayhem chooses the best way to teach the lesson to bully people, because with words they can’t understand. Maybe there are other ways to solve the problems, like talking with the bully or moving to other town, I don’t know; but bully people needs to understand their errors and the only way that they can learn it is fighting with someone that can teach who rules. I would participate in show like this one, specially if there is money put on it.

  20. Well i could participate in this kind of tv shows only for watch the tipical bullies falling down front my eyes xD.

  21. I think that is right side if they do, because they see what the other person will do, but otherwise fall into the same as them and become bullies, but just as if they were to win would get equal a good award is $ 10,000 but are facing professionals in the respective martial arts, this can be a great way to change the attitudes of the bullies because they are seen as victims
I would like to participate but as a murderer because I'm almost sure thing to win the $ 10,000 but as a victim would not.

  22. I think that if they come to that will program is because they like and is by its own will, so do not think it's wrong, because if I like something and not to others, not mean is bad. I do not think that is wrong because it's a TV show, but if people behave well everyday life, obviously it would be wrong.
I would go if I had strength necessary and if I had muscles because if you do not kill me and also to win the $ 10,000.

  23. Bully beatdown is a very fun and interesting show for spectators of this, I think it's a good way to show to the bullies what they do as they first did not understand words, then you better understand the hard way.
about participating in a show so my answer would be rather negative, since my strength does not compare with the force of one of these beasts, also known various martial arts.

  24. I agree with this program, because the bullies get what they deserve and learn the lesson to take a beating from a professional martial arts fighter, I personally love the program because the bullies are confronted with someone his own size.

I would participate in the program as a victim, I not would like to participate as a bully because I would not win the money and would be severely beaten.

  25. Bully Beatdown is a very interesting and funny show, but I am not agree with the way they solve the problems; I believe that this isn't a good way to solve the problems because there are many ways to solve them. I will not participle of shows like this one because they solve they problems fighting and I don't like that.
