Aside from the good things that may come as a result of it, there are plenty of issues that affect living beings and our current environment. For example, Climate change, Ice shelf boundaries, Food production, etc.
Considering the idea mentioned above, I'd like you to make some comments following the next questions:

ReplyDeletei thinks that currently the environment of my city(that in this case is valparaiso city) is the case the contamination, the contamination of environment , because the issue is that the people the valparaiso is very irresponsible with the garbage, and the great majority of the streets of valparaiso city have litter scattered.
- in my opinion, yes, my corncern of this problem is very high because the contamination brings disease for example the black death(peste negra) that is a disease coming of the mouse, that it was very dificult search sanation global, and the mouse they are always in the garbage that like said before the great issue of valparaiso city is the garbage, and also diferent diseases like leprosy, mushrooms etc... that this leads to the quarantine that where this lead to stop in the developing country. and is.....is this my concern that technically speaking it is the same situation as in the coronavirus case.

Hello teacher,although globalization brings many positive things to society, it also brings an infinite number of problems to people's lives, climatic changes, flora and fauna. It is not necessary to go very far to realize it, on our coast a few years ago the coves were worked mainly by people who fishing and shellfish harvesting, it was their job and the livelihood of their families. Today, this activity is increasingly taken away by large fishing companies, which often infringe the amount of extraction, it is causing a great impact on marine life and artisanal fisheries, it is leaving them with less and less resources to extract. These companies often spill residues and chemical products which are harmful to living beings that inhabit the sea and its surroundings. In general, it worries me a lot because many times the people who work as a fisher is being forced to change his activity and it is cutting off a family tradition and culture, on the other hand, as it is known, fishing industrial extraction is strongly threatening the extinction of different kind of fish because they do not have the age or the determined size, it has caused that we founded more and more smaller fish and in fewer amount.

ReplyDeleteRegarding the last class we had about globalization; the coronavirus, wich come from china, is the most recent global issue that affect our country. This issue is mixed with our poor health system, for example in valparaiso we have only two public hospital for the people who can't pay private clinics. One of them is Carlos Van Buren Hospital and from personal experiencie i can say that the sanitation of the hospital is totally outrageous. This fact and other like the climate change or the bad care of water should cause real concern to the authorities.
The food production of animal origin is a industry that i'm personally concerned because im already vegan and i know how much affect the enviroment the overexplotation of animals. This topic is really controversial for me bacause in chile exist a lot of poverty who has like main food the meats, so firstly we have to eradicate the poverty. This and much more issues make us a developing country with many social, politic and enviromental problems to improve.

ReplyDeleteThe global issue is a concern for everyone about the issue of the environment, Chile is still a developing country. The Valparaiso region has serious problems affecting the environment. Ventanas and Puchuncavi with air pollution caused by mining and industry. Petorca, La Ligua and Cabilao with water scarcity, which is due not only to the current drought, but to unfair legislation. Valparaiso our city has a polluted coast, whose sanitation is difficult; different species such as the Jurel and the Sierra have even disappeared. ReplyDelete From my point of view, one of the global Issue that affect Valparaiso the most is the climatic changes since throughout this and last year there was a lot of drought, which caused a bad production of food that comes from the earth, and this leads to the poor quality of the fruits and vegetables and the rise in their prices, and this makes it very difficult to become a developing country, this problem can be improved by sanitation of the water near the crops.
One of the problems that most Concern me nowadays is the right of children, because in many cases these rights are not very well respected; There are many children who today do not receive the attention they need and many people do not pay attention to this, but it is a pretty tough issue because many children can die from living on the street and in any case, drug addiction, famine, abuse, both physical as well as psychological and this same problem can leave the country badly stopped and this is not an a problem that affects only one country but is something that affects a Global issue.

Talking about Valparaiso, the biggest issue that it has is the change of climate, because a few years ago it was a city that we saw so many green areas than now, and now all the trees do not have leaves this is for the high temperatures and scarcity of rain, in addition to it sanitation set.
From my point of view it is a concern, since little by little the world is dying for to global warming and this is destroying most of nature.

But now, a clear example is drought in the ‘’Siete tazas’’ from Talca and another example, it’s a few native’s family that continue lives in this country; for me, this situation, make me feel upset, because this beginning for us, before we are a developing country and our sanitation is not better (in this times), but when were are already country without problems, we started forget to native person.
Now, the drought and the famine are real, this live in different place of the world, for example, Africa and their people, all days died someone in that continent because that’s things (water and food) is not for everybody.

In Valparaíso what is affecting us and at the country level is drought, global warming and climatic changes since before Valparaíso in a beautiful city full of green areas and many beautiful things made by nature was also not before equivalent to drought in Chile, as before, there are now many rivers and lakes with little water, tourist places that have to be closed due to the scarcity of water, and it is worrying since they may lose their places due to these climatic changes, global warming and droughts.

ReplyDeleteI believe that the most important issue in my city is pollution (in general) since it carries too many negative things it can bring us illnesses, extreme droughts, heat waves and among others, also physical contamination such as garbage bags, plastic bottles, etc.
In my opinion, pollution affects us as a city and country because, for example, with the drought, it would open that having a limit in occupying water and garbage would affect the arrival of tourists and us with toxic smoke.

ReplyDeleteI think that the principal issue in my region is the water shortage, principally in towns away from the sea like Petorca, La ligua and Cabildo. It doesn´t matter how far away are these towns from us, it is an issue that concern to everyone.
It´s considered as a global issue because it happen both in developed countries and developing countries and brings a lot of problems like: reduction of farm production, you can´t get a propely sanitation because there´s not water for basics necessities.

I consider that one of the big problems that our planet, and in the society, is the contamination until it affects us in what is the day to day of the people, focusing on the first topic that I reflect, is a great amount of garbage in the center and the hills of valparaiso since the continuous removal of waste is not done periodically, it may be the responsibility of the municipality and also of each one, this can bring diseases like ANTA, from mice due to dirt. Another issue that I can focus on is environmental pollution, which is due to the issue of the industries that we have in Quintero, which is an area affected by the gases they release at night that affect children, adults and grandparents, it can bring diseases to respiratory tract.
Some of the problems that a contamination can bring is, the poisoning of the water, development of diseases, problems to the vegetation among others.
It is very worrying because it is an environmental damage since it directly affects and the land that the land has made it is "the home" of new generations. I hope you are well teacher.

Water shortage is a problem that is becoming global, and it worries me because this issue is increasing in developing countries and the only thing that causes this is that they do not make progress as a country. I mean, they do not work as a society concerned about water, they spent lots of water on mine industry, and even if we safe water (each person, individually) we will never get to compensate the waste of water. Water shortage is a huge problem, because poor people won't get to hydrate and it will cause a lot of sanitation problems.

ReplyDeleteValparaiso is a city who has been affected recently for a big drought , due to global warming who cause a deficit on agriculture and in his majority forest fire for the accumulated garbage as well, who cause a low level of sanitation in especific place's. Drought is a think who is really concern me, because one of the place who use the firefighter’s to combate forest fire are lagoons like ''Tranque de la luz'' in Placilla, because from this place they extracts water to still combat the fire...But just lets have a little thought..What happend if the lagoon dry up in this moment? That probably means more diffilcuty to put out the fire. This is really a big issue who we has confront one day in the future.

In addition there is a problem referring to the little importance given to the native peoples. As in the case of Chile. It is very difficult to progress as a country without having knowledge of the culture or simply where we came from
