In the last thread of this semester and, as we have practiced in class; I'd like you to talk about The United States. What do you like of this country?What do you hate of it? Why? Can you compare 2 cultural aspects between Chile and The U.S.A.? Please leave your comments in at least 55 words.

ReplyDeleteIn my humble opinion, I hate the fast food because it makes to the people so fat and unhealthy, and that is bad.
I like the clothes and the landscape because the both are cute :)
comparing Chile with U.S.A I like U.S.A because their cleanliness is perfect and chile is so dirty.

ReplyDeleteI think what I like about this country, is the food. One word for the food: "Awesome", but I hate the tax. I remember, when I traveled to New York, I bought seven books, approximately, 70 Dollars, but with the tax, I had to pay 80 dollars. I really hate the tax. But, yet i bought seven books for 80 dollars, when I buy here, in chile, I buy 5 books for $95.000 approximately. (USA it's more cheap than Chile).
Peace. People are very quiet located. I really don't know, they are so quiet, they don't have emotions. I'm sure about it.

ReplyDeleteUSA it's a very nice country for me. People are educateds, calms, they do their things in the correct time (not in last time).
I like the technology of that country. As programmer, I see every sensor used in the country. The touch-sensor, (on reffils, for example), the closeness-sensor, (on bathrooms, for example).
Other things that I like are the prices. It's very cheap (in somethings, in another things no).
I don't know why people hate the tax. For me it's insignificant the Tax. I don't like it, but I don't hate it.
I HATE so much D̶o̶n̶a̶l̶d̶ ̶T̶r̶u̶m̶p. I hate, for all the things... nothing. I don't know what I hate of USA. Well, if I can hate persons, I hate D̶o̶n̶a̶l̶d̶ ̶T̶r̶u̶m̶p̶, I believe xD.
A comparison of USA with Chile, is the sports, for example. In Chile the only sport who leads the country is Soccer. But in USA, there are basketball, baseball, football, and other sports, Nascar, Formula One, etc.
Another comparison are people, in Chile everyone is running, doing their things at last hour...
PS: I believe I hate the contamination of USA. It's the #1 using oil. Because USA it's:
1) One of the most richs countrys.
2) One of the most technologic countrys.
And just for money they use the oil. >:c

ReplyDeleteI like about this country for the respect. You can leave your phone on a table 15 minutes, and will be there when you return. What when not like about this country it is that it is currently involved in a war.
I do not think can compare Chile with USA, it would be like comparing XBOX with Play.. They are totally cultures different.
USA is not my country favorite but i have much respect.

ReplyDeleteI really liked the United States because they are much more organized than in Chile, caring much the environment, has many places to visit such as the Statue of Liberty, Las Vegas, Yellowstone National Park, Disneyland, etc. I don´t like the food system, because they are the main producers of junk food, climate me not liked by tornadoes and hurricanes there.
Many things can be compared with the US and Chile as:
1) United States caring much the environment
2) The United States has a lot of flora and fauna.

I like it yours technology and beautiful cities, Hawaii, New York, Miami etc ..
but I do not like the contamination, for example: Nuclear, Greenhouse gas etc…
I think your r similarities is the freedom, music, arts.

very well maintained and very respectful people in certain places foster tourism
what i did not like about this country is that there is much pollution product factories and use their technology to the wars only to become a world power
I think that as every country have their advantages and disadvantages and in some aspects like sports, music, etc have similiar United States with Chile.

hello teacher!:), well the United States is an interesting country, I like it because it's clean and what I am told is very nice and tidy, but also eat most fast food, and expensive, I think it is a country more advanced than chili technologies, but still do not want to travel to this country so much, I love Europe haha.

What i dont like about United States is that there is much discrimination, its not like in Chile because do not see much discrimination here.
For me are similar the poetry and literature because both the United States and in Chile there are great poets and writers.

what I like about this country usa is the great mutual respect for people and the wide variety of useful inventions and new technologies to facilitate daily life.
What I did not like about this country is the large number of drug users are being produced by drugs are seen as trendy and cult.because the United States should set an example by being a great world power and creator of great inventions should not follow bad ideas.
finally united states is equal to chile culturally as both have a high level of suicides thanks to the great discrimination and bullyng that are made to these people

First of all, I want to say... I LOVE USA
¿What I like about USA? Mainly, I love the clothes there, because is so beautiful, and cheap, SO CHEAP. I like too the shops like Ross, Target, or dollar tree(?) (I dont remember it name xD). I fell completely in love with the food there, specially the waffles. I have a lot of things to love of USA. But, what I really dont like of USA, is the tax. THE TAX. I remember, when we were in the airport I wanted to buy something to my grandma. A pencil, I remember, and it cost was 5 dollars, without the tax. AND I JUST HAD FIVE DOLLARS! DAMN TAX.
Well, I think Chile with USA can be compared i the fast food. We don't have A LOT of fast food like their,but we are falling in the unhealthy people feeding, I think in maybe four or five years we will be like their.
And that's my opinion.

I don´t like was the "IVA" in E.E.U.U, one book cost 55 dollars and in the moment of pay cost 65 dollars .-.

I think you can not compare cultural aspects between Chile and U.S.A. because they are totally different cultures
Hello teacher, The most I like of Estados Unidos is the friendliness of the people, their culture, they are respectful, the thing i dont like is that they are discriminators against others, the cities are very clean the same with their streets, also they have to work hard to get what they want.

hello teacher, the things that i like about Estados Unidos is that the people are very friendly, and I like the culture of this country, I also like the technology because they are very advanced, so I do not like about this country is that it is a violent society and selling arms to anyone, the things that i can compares is Estados Unidos is the people are very clean but in Chile are very dirty, the people are very patriotic.
